I just need to say a few words of thanks to Andy Hoyland and his team of tutors. They have been amazing in what I can only call a transformation in my son. My son came home tonight to tell us he had got his results from his recent third round mocks for English and maths. He has gone from a 4 to a high 6 (three points off a 7) in maths. He has also gone from a 5 in English language to a 6 (nearly 7) and a 7 in literature. Overall for his mocks he was placed 8th in the whole year 11 cohort got his results, an outstanding achievement. This is from a young man who was lost with his studies, just coasting along unsure of direction and no motivation. He has now been accepted at sixth form to study his A levels and is even considering uni now when before it was a hard no! We're in the middle of the last set of mocks now and the results have gone up again from last time. Confidence is still increasing and parent stress is going down! November 2025 - I wrote the review below back in August just after we joined following some unexpected mock results. Since then my daughter has completed her next set of mocks. We don't have all the results back yet, but so far she has gone from a 3 to a 5 in English language and from U to 4 in French. A massive part of this success is because of Level Up. I have no doubt that she will smash her exams next summer with the support of Andy and the Level Up team. August 2025 - I'm so pleased we found this platform, I just wish we'd found it sooner! Being able to interact with the teacher during live lessons is fantastic. The pre-recorded lessons are brilliant as the children can rewatch as often as necessary to understand the concept. The community board is really supportive and gives the children the chance to chat with each other or ask questions of their peers or the teachers. Finally, the mental health, SEND and post 16 webinars are an added bonus that support both parents and children. I really recommend the Skool Platform, for any child currently going into their GCSE years. This platform has been a find for our son. The platform is user friendly for both student and parents to navigate and the help and support you get from Andy or the students themselves is simply wonderful. What is lovely to see from a parents point of view is that they support each other and it breeds confidents between the students to reach out and ask questions, despite never meeting each other. This platform not only focusses on GSCE subjects but it’s also covers Send and mental Wellbeing which is so important for all our children to have access to these areas. Our son is dyslexia but at no point has this prevented our son from using the platform. The teachers are so approachable and the Live sessions/timetable have been a great addition to our son learning journey and if he’s unable to attend, the great thing about the platform, is that our son can watch them back, so he never misses out and can recap at any time. From day 1 he's engaged in the live lessons & video courses. His confidence in English & all 3 Sciences has come on in leaps & bounds. However his success story so far has been Geography. In his Year 10 mock he achieved a Grade 2. His teacher was happy to give him a target grade of 3. As a Parent I couldn't accept a child who is great at science & maths & up in the 6/7 bracket was only capable of a 3 in Geography. So we enrolled him in the Geography booster course on the platform. The transformation has been astonishing. Today he got his paper 1 mock back & achieved 60%, double his year 10 score! That's after only 4 weeks of the 12 week course!
